  1. Hi! I love your cute Peg dolls! I am attempting to make some of my own for my kids. I was wondering, how do you get the ballerina skirt to stick to the peg doll? Just regular glue? And second, I have seen some moms say they just use modge podge for the finish, but I just am unsure about that. What do you use?

    1. Hi there, thank you! So, I don’t actually glue the tutu on at all. I use an eyelash yarn, wrap it around the “waist” a couple of times and tie with a tight double knot. Then I trim the yarn so that you can’t see the tails. They stay on great! I’ve had to replace a few tutus over the years for my girls, but they last a long time. I’ve also used tulle ribbon and elastic thread to sew itty bitty tutus. 🙂 As far as sealing them, if they’re going to be played with or handled at all, I would not use Modge Podge. It is not durable enough to handle play. It ends up getting gummy over time. I always use a clear acrylic (non toxic) sealer. I typically do two coats. There are many different brands to choose from at craft stores. I hope that helps! Happy Painting!
